Get to the Green Road Race
THE STARTING LINE FOR ST. PAT’S FUN!
Kick off St. Pat’s in Five Points with Columbia’s largest road race! Get to the Green features a 5K, 10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run in which participants chase rainbows in pursuit of their personal pot o’gold!
Get to the Green is turning twenty this year, and over 50,000 runners have competed for their Pot O’ Gold! What started on Devine Street adjacent to Maxcy Gregg Park has grown into a 2,500-member race that kicks off St. Pat’s in Five Points! It has morphed over two decades adding a 15K option for a few years and changing routes a few times, but the goal of celebrating all things green and Gaelic has never changed!
Race registration includes a 2022 t-shirt, finisher’s medal, post-race refreshments from Earth Fare, Pepsi Co and Vooz and entry into the St. Pat’s in Five Points festival! All events start and finish on Devine Street near Publick House in Shandon. Costumes and good luck charms are welcomed and encouraged! Get to the Green 5K and 10K are USATF certified courses. Gift registrations can also be purchased and transfers are welcome.
Prizes will be given out for Top Finishers in each category as well as Best Green/St. Pat’s Theme costumes! The awards ceremony will take place at approximately 9:30am and is not inside the festival gates.

Awards will be given to the Overall Winners in the following categories:
Top 3 Males | Top 3 Females | Top 3 Master Males | Top 3 Master Females
Awards will be given to the Top Three Males and Females in the following age groups:
70+ | 65-69 | 60-64 | 55-59 | 50-54
45-49 | 40-44 | 35-39 | 30-34
25-29 | 20-24 | 15-19 | 11-14 | 10 & Under
Group Discounts:
Running with friends is way more fun, so groups of five or more can register together and receive $5 off per participant! Good ONLY for In-Person 5K, 10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run.
Kids 12 and Under:
Register your children 12 and under for only $20! Good ONLY for In-Person 5K, 10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run. No festival entry/wristband included as children 12 and under do not need a ticket to enter the festival.
